In looking at the company's PTO policies today, I read the following:
When PTO Ends
You will no longer be eligible for PTO when:
You terminate employment with *name of business*
You no longer work at least 20 hours a week
You die

There are a few other points on there but that's pretty much where I stopped reading.
I mean seriously - what kind of company stops giving you vacation at that point.

one of my favorite things from my last job was our employee handbook. among delights like the one you point out, we were barred from wearing the likes of "evening gowns" and "kulots." i kid you not. god bless "the system."
