This morning's blog was inspired by true events.
*
You MIGHT be a little more tired, wired and disorganized on Thursday because:
-The love you have for Ghost Hunters isn't ENOUGH to keep you awake on Wed night.
-You neglected to shut out the cats from the room 'cuz you fell asleep too fast (as if there WERE such a thing)
-12 am - you're shuffling the cats' butts out of your face so you can breathe
-1 am - you're removing the cat's tail from your mouth.
-1:05 am - you wonder if people can cough up hair balls
-2 am - no matter how cute the cats are, you think about throwing them out
-3 am - you wake up to a paw in your eye and suddenly notice how devastatingly THIRSTY you are!
-3:02 am - you grab the cats as they lay like wet noodles to prevent from being stolen from the bed so you can kick them out to savor the last 2 hours of good sleep you'll get.
-3:04 am - you stumble down the stairs over twirling and whirling cats and run for the fridge to get some water
-3:07 am - crawl back into bed - *sigh*
-6:34 am - you wake up to see how much time you have left to sleep.
-6:34 (and 4 seconds) - you realize the alarm never went OFF and you should be LEAVING at this time!
-6:35 am - hubby awakens to help you get ready to leave
-6:40 am - you're out the door. Make-up bag in hand
-6:42 am - on the road, whew! Pray for no ACCIDENTS!
-7:05 am - you see the sign on freeway that says '7 minutes to 94' and you have to clock in by 7:22, so you punch it! You're determined to prove the sign wrong!
-7:18 am - park the car and scurry across the icy ground as swiftly as you can in your dressy boots, only twisting ankle once
-7:19 am - get to the door of the building with key in hand, KEYS FALL! so you stumble to back up while shifting your 18 bags around your shoulders so they don't throw you down to the ground as they plow forward from you bending over
-7:21 am - key's in the door, now STUCK in the door! Struggle for a few seconds to get key OUT!
-7:21 (and 15 seconds) - hobble down the slippery rubber staircase (yeah - it's lined with rubber because that's safe in the winter??) - and you clock in at 7:21 and some seconds without ANY FALLS!
*
YES!!!!!!! You made it within the 7-minute rounding rule! One more minute and you would have been considered late.
*
You get to your desk and resume breathing. And then hurry to the bathroom and get your make up on before the next person walks in.
Wouldn't want to scare anyone....
